Résumé : | Judith Mok was born in Bergen aan Zee, Holland. Today she lives in Portobello, Dublin, once a thriving Jewish quarter of Dublin, with her husband, the poet and writer Michael O’Loughlin. Mok and O’Loughlin moved to Dublin from Amsterdam in 2002. Judith Mok is the author of four novels and four collections of poetry. Her fifth, Playgrounds, from which the poem that figures in this number of Études irlandaises appears, is due in 2023. In this interview, Judith Mok talks about her upbringing in France and the Netherlands, her family’s experience of the Shoah, her career as a singer, and her life as an artist in Ireland. |
