Cúl An Tí, is collaboration between Kíla, Cartoon Saloon, Fócas Films and some of Ireland's top singers (Mundy, Imelda May, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Mary Coughlan, Lisa Hannigan, Danny O'Reilly of The Coronas, John Spillane...) to produce one of the finest pieces of Irish music and art in a decade and to reinvigorate some old Irish songs by recording new versions and having animations made of them. The 12 songs and accompanying animations are a jewel for lovers of music and animation.
Cúl An Tí was originally broadcast as a 6-episode series on TG4. The DVD is an invaluable tool for teachers and parents alike, containing a printable lyric sheet, translation sheet and the option of viewing the lyrics as karaoke style subtitles. |
