| Résumé : | During the last ten years there has occured a sequence of readings of Irish culture and Irish literature which have been especially dynamic, obsessive and influential. These readings of Irish culture have gone under the general term post-colonial. However, that simply temporal description may mislead insofar as these readings share a range of beliefs and commitments which are in excess of their appearance merely "after" colonial intervention |
